Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Van Salesman to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for selling and delivering fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) to retailers, wholesalers, and small businesses within an assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive a sales van along a designated route to service existing and new retail customers.
Sell and deliver FMCG products directly to clients, ensuring product availability and visibility.
Build and maintain strong relationships with store owners and purchasing managers.
Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
Collect payments and ensure proper cash or invoice reconciliation at the end of the day.
Monitor and manage van stock, ensuring FIFO (First In, First Out) is applied.
Identify sales opportunities and potential new outlets within the assigned territory.
Provide regular feedback on customer needs, competitor activity, and market trends.
Maintain van cleanliness, proper documentation, and compliance with safety regulations.
Requirements:
Minimum 1–3 years of proven experience in van sales within the FMCG industry.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Strong knowledge of local market routes and customer base.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Basic literacy and numeracy skills (ability to read invoices, count stock, etc.).
Physically fit and able to lift and move products during loading and delivery.
