Description

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

Handle daily accounting transactions (AP, AR, petty cash, bank entries).

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements as per company and statutory requirements.

Manage and file VAT returns, ensuring compliance with Bahrain’s National Bureau for Revenue (NBR) regulations.

Liaise with external auditors and support the annual audit process by providing required documentation.

Process payroll, GOSI (social insurance) contributions, and ensure compliance with Bahrain labor laws.

Monitor and forecast cash flows and working capital requirements.

Assist in preparing budgets and conducting variance analysis reports.

Maintain proper documentation and filing systems for all accounting and financial records.

Coordinate with suppliers and customers to resolve account queries and reconcile statements.

Support inventory and fixed asset management, including periodic physical counts and depreciation entries.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce

Minimum 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in Bahrain or the GCC.

Strong knowledge of Bahrain VAT, GOSI, and statutory compliance.

Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, ERP systems) and MS Office (Excel, Word).

Good communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.

High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
