Job Summary:

A highly skilled and creative Senior Graphic Designer with over 7 years of experience in the publications industry. Demonstrated expertise in conceptualizing, designing, and producing high-quality visual content for print and digital publications, including magazines, newspapers, brochures, newsletters, and eBooks. Proven ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining brand consistency and visual excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Conceptualize and design layouts for print and digital publications including magazines, editorial spreads, reports, and marketing collateral.

Collaborate closely with editors, writers, photographers, and marketing teams to ensure visual storytelling aligns with editorial goals and brand voice.

Manage the end-to-end design process—from initial concept to prepress and final delivery.

Create info-graphics, charts, illustrations, and custom artwork to enhance editorial content.

Ensure print-ready files meet quality standards for various production formats.

Maintain and evolve the visual identity of the publication while adhering to established style guides.

Lead and mentor junior designers, providing constructive feedback and art direction.

Work efficiently within tight deadlines, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Skills & Competencies:
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat).

Strong understanding of typography, grid systems, layout design, and color theory.

Solid knowledge of prepress processes and print production standards.

Experience with digital publishing tools (e.g., Adobe Digital Publishing Suite, Figma, or similar platforms).

Excellent communication, time management, and project coordination skills.

Attention to detail with a passion for clean, cohesive design.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field.

Experience designing for both print and digital editorial formats.

Portfolio demonstrating a strong background in publication design.
