Job Summary:
We are looking for a qualified CA or CMA Accountant with strong experience in handling financial operations related to contracts in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will manage project accounting, cost control, compliance, and reporting while ensuring adherence to Bahrain’s statutory and tax regulations.
Minimum Relevant Experience of 10 Years is MANDATORY - (Gulf Experience is Preferred)

Key Responsibilities:
Manage full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and compliance for construction projects and contracts.
Review, verify, and record contract-related transactions including progress billings, subcontractor payments, retentions, and variations.
Monitor project costs, budgets, and forecasts; conduct variance analysis against contract values.
Ensure proper allocation of expenses and revenues to respective projects/contracts.
Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and reconciliations related to construction activities.
Ensure compliance with Bahrain’s VAT, corporate tax, and other statutory regulations.
Prepare MIS reports, cash flow statements, and financial analyses for management review.
Liaise with project managers, quantity surveyors, and procurement teams for accurate financial tracking.
Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities for year-end audits and compliance.
Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure proper documentation of contracts.
Qualifications & Skills:
Professional qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost & Management Accountant (CMA) – mandatory.
Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting within the construction/contracting industry (Bahrain or GCC experience preferred).
Strong knowledge of project accounting, contract management, and cost control principles.
Familiarity with IFRS and Bahrain’s statutory regulations (VAT, tax, labor law compliance).
Proficiency in accounting/ERP software (SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar) and advanced MS Excel skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting abilities.
Excellent communication and coordination skills to work with technical and non-technical teams.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
