Job Summary:
The Tea Boy/Office Cleaner is responsible for providing essential support services to ensure a clean, tidy, and welcoming environment for all staff, clients, and visitors. This role involves maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and providing hospitality services, such as preparing and serving beverages, to contribute to a productive and pleasant workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Hospitality and Office Support:
Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages (tea, coffee, water, etc.) to employees and guests as requested.
Keep the pantry and kitchen areas clean, organized, and well-stocked with supplies (coffee, tea, sugar, milk, snacks, etc.).
Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, including kettles, coffee machines, microwaves, and refrigerators.
Clear and clean used cups, glasses, and utensils from desks, meeting rooms, and common areas.
Assist with setting up meeting rooms for conferences, including arranging furniture and ensuring refreshments are available.
Provide support to administrative staff with basic tasks, such as delivering documents within the office or assisting with printing and filing.
2. Cleaning and Maintenance:
Perform daily cleaning duties for the entire office space, including:
Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
Dusting and polishing furniture, desks, and office equipment (monitors, keyboards, phones, etc.).
Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, including sinks, toilets, and mirrors.
Emptying trash cans and recycling bins and ensuring proper waste disposal.
Washing and cleaning windows and glass surfaces.
Maintain the cleanliness of all communal areas, such as corridors, reception, and waiting areas.
Monitor and report any maintenance or repair needs for office premises or equipment to the supervisor.
Manage cleaning supplies and report when stock is running low.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Experience: Previous experience in a similar role (e.g., office boy, cleaner, or hospitality) is often preferred but not always required. Training may be provided.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail and a high standard for cleanliness.
Reliable and punctual.
Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
Basic communication skills and a polite, friendly demeanor.
Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and stand for extended periods.
