Role Summary:

The Accountant is responsible for managing the financial operations of a fast-paced parcel delivery company that provides urgent city-to-city delivery services across Saudi Arabia. Based in the Jeddah head office, the role ensures accurate financial record-keeping, timely reporting, and compliance with local accounting standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate records of daily transactions, including revenue from deliveries and operational expenses (fuel, vehicle maintenance, driver payments, etc.).
Prepare invoices, process payments, and reconcile accounts with clients, vendors, and drivers.
Monitor cash flow and manage petty cash for branch operations.
Prepare monthly financial reports and support management in budgeting and cost control.
Ensure compliance with Saudi VAT and Zakat requirements, coordinating with external auditors or authorities when necessary.
Support management with financial insights to improve operational efficiency and profitability.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Experience in logistics, transportation, or courier service accounting preferred.
Strong knowledge of Saudi accounting regulations and VAT.
Fluency in both Arabic and English (mandatory).
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment.
