Description
One of our clients in Riyadh is looking for the below position:
Pump Technician
Requirements:
Experience: 5 to 8 years in pump maintenance and operations.
Joining: Should be able to join immediately (within 2–3 days after selection).
Iqama: Transferable Iqama is mandatory.
Language: Should be able to speak English.
Duty Hours: 12 hours including 1 hour break.
Should have strong hands-on experience in the responsibilities listed below.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Routine Inspection & Preventive Maintenance
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspection of various pumps (booster, transfer, sewage, submersible, centrifugal).
Check and maintain oil levels, lubrication, and bearing conditions.
Inspect alignment, vibration, and temperature readings.
Ensure all safety and protection devices are functioning properly.
2. Operational Monitoring
Monitor pump operation: pressure, flow rate, noise, and performance.
Check electrical panels, VFDs, starters, and control settings.
Record readings and report abnormalities immediately.
3. Troubleshooting
Identify issues such as leaks, overheating, vibration, reduced flow, noise, or motor faults.
Diagnose issues related to seals, bearings, impellers, shafts, couplings, and valves.
4. Repair & Replacement
Replace seals, bearings, gaskets, impellers, and other worn components.
Repair leakages, shaft issues, alignment problems, and mechanical damages.
Conduct complete pump overhauling when required.
5. Emergency & Corrective Maintenance
Respond quickly to pump breakdowns and restore operation with minimal downtime.
Coordinate with supervisors for tools and spare parts.
6. Cleaning & Housekeeping
Clean strainers, filters, pump rooms, and pump surroundings.
Ensure pipelines and pumps are free from debris and blockages.
