Operations Manager – 01
Production & Manufacturing Management:
• Oversee daily production activities, ensuring targets are met efficiently and safely.
• Plan and schedule production runs to meet demand and minimize downtime.
• Implement and monitor quality control procedures to comply with national and international standards
• Manage machinery maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades, particularly for high-speed mask-making and packaging lines.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
2. Sales & Business Development Support:
• Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to align production with market demand.
• Provide input on product specifications, pricing, and delivery timelines to support sales efforts.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations for key accounts (B2B/B2G).
• Identify opportunities for product diversification and process improvements to enhance market competitiveness.
3. Supply Chain & Inventory Control:
• Manage raw material procurement, inventory levels, and supplier relationships.
• Optimize warehousing, logistics, and distribution to ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor production costs and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
4. Team Leadership & Development:
• Lead, train, and mentor production supervisors, operators, and quality staff.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Conduct performance reviews and ensure skill development within the team.
5. Reporting & Strategy:
• Prepare regular reports on production output, efficiency, quality metrics, and sales support activities.
• Contribute to operational budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
• Analyse market trends and competitor activity to recommend operational adjustments.
Qualifications & Experience
Essentials:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations or production management, preferably in PPE, medical devices, or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).
• Proven experience in managing high-speed manufacturing machinery (e.g., mask-making, non-woven fabric processing).
• Strong understanding of quality management systems and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
• Master’s degree in Operations Management or an MBA.
• Experience with automation, PLC systems, and ERP/MRP software.
• Background in sales support or business development in a manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge of international export/import regulations for medical/PPE products.
