Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and creative Kitchen Assistant with experience in pastry and chocolate to join our team at Bon, a leading artisanal chocolatier known for handcrafted, premium desserts. In this role, you will support the production of our signature Bons, pastries, and seasonal collections. Your creativity, precision, and passion for craftsmanship will help elevate our pastry and chocolate offerings.
Responsibilities
• Assist in developing new pastry and chocolate recipes, exploring unique flavor combinations
• Contribute artistic ideas for chocolate finishes, pastry decoration, and visual presentation
• Collaborate with the Head Chocolatier and Pastry Lead on seasonal and limited-edition collections
• Prepare and operate chocolate-making equipment, including tempering machines, molds, and decorating tools
• Support pastry production: mixing, baking, assembling, and finishing baked goods
• Work closely with the production team to ensure efficient, precise, and high-quality output
• Participate in quality control, tasting and evaluating pastries and chocolates for consistency
• Assist with inventory management of pastry ingredients, chocolate materials, and supplies
• Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized kitchen in line with food-safety standards
Requirements
• Female candidate (if required due to workspace environment)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a pastry kitchen, bakery, or chocolate/confectionery environment
• Strong understanding of flavor pairing and basic pastry techniques
• Experience in decorating, glazing, painting, or finishing pastries or chocolates
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Familiarity with food safety and sanitation practices
• Basic knowledge of chocolate tempering, ganache, and moulding techniques (training provided)
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in artisanal chocolate or high-end pastry production
• Knowledge of cocoa, tempering, or bean-to-bar processes
• Strong artistic skills in pastry or chocolate decoration
