Description
We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Desktop Support Technician to provide on-site and remote IT support to end users.
The role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and basic network issues, ensuring smooth IT operations and high user satisfaction. Immediate availability is required.
Key Responsibilities
Provide first-level desktop and end-user IT support
Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
Troubleshoot Windows OS, MS Office, email, and business applications
Resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner
Perform system updates, patches, and antivirus management
Support network connectivity issues (LAN/Wi-Fi/VPN basics)
Manage IT assets, inventory, and equipment tracking
Assist with user onboarding/offboarding (setup, access, device allocation)
Respond to service desk tickets and meet SLA requirements
Coordinate with senior IT teams or vendors for escalated issues
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
1–3 years of experience in desktop or IT support role
Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and MS Office Suite
Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
Experience using IT ticketing tools (Service Desk, Jira, ServiceNow, etc.)
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and customer service abilities
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks
