Description
A high-profile construction company is looking for a GENERAL OPERATIONS MANAGER.
Job Role:
Responsible for the overall operational leadership, oversees project execution, commercial coordination, resource planning, cost control, procurement alignment, subcontractor performance, quality compliance, and operational reporting across the business.
The position is expected to ensure that all projects and operational activities are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, within budget, and in accordance with the company’s strategic and financial objectives.
The role serves as a key management position in driving accountability, improving internal systems, strengthening execution discipline, managing operational risk, and supporting sustainable profitability and business growth.
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering; construction management, project management, or a related field
• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in construction, project operations, or engineering management
• Minimum 5 years in a senior operational leadership role within a construction or contracting company
• Strong understanding of project execution, contracts, procurement, budgeting, cost control, and subcontractor management
• Sound knowledge of construction regulations, safety standards, and quality control practices
• Experience in managing multiple projects and cross-functional teams simultaneously
• GCC experience, preferably in Bahrain, is an advantage
