Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and driven Junior Accountant to join our finance team in Jeddah. In this role, you will support day-to-day accounting operations — managing invoices, maintaining aging schedules, and ensuring the accuracy of our financial records. Key responsibilities
• Record and process vendor and client invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Prepare and maintain accounts receivable and accounts payable aging reports
• Perform regular reconciliations for bank statements and general ledger accounts
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies and payment queries
• Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting records and documentation
• Assist with external audits by preparing required schedules and documentation
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1–2 years of hands-on accounting experience
• Proven experience recording and processing invoices (AP/AR)
• Hands-on experience preparing receivables and payables aging reports
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar ERP systems)
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Good command of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas)
• Effective communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus
• Based in Jeddah or willing to relocate
Preferred qualifications — nice to have
• Experience preparing or maintaining financial statements independently
• Background in a service-based industry such as consulting, advisory, or professional services
• Exposure to VAT filing and compliance under ZATCA regulations
• Pursuing or holding a professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent)
