Job Summary
The Security Manager is responsible for the overall planning, management, supervision, and continuous improvement of security operations at the project site in Umluj, Yanbu. The role ensures the protection of personnel, facilities, assets, equipment, information, and visitors while maintaining compliance with company policies, client requirements, and applicable Saudi regulations.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement comprehensive site security plans, procedures and emergency response protocols.
• Manage and supervise security personnel, including Security Supervisors, Security Guards, and control room operators.
• Establish security posts, patrol schedules, access-control procedures and shift deployment plans.
• Ensure strict control of employee, visitor, vehicle, contractor and material access to the site.
• Monitor CCTV, access-control systems, alarms, communication systems and other security equipment.
• Conduct regular security inspections, patrols and vulnerability/risk assessments.
• Identify potential security threats and implement appropriate preventive and corrective measures.
• Coordinate emergency response for incidents including unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, fire, accidents, disturbances, and other security emergencies.
• Maintain accurate security logs, incident reports, daily occurrence reports and investigation records.
• Lead investigations into security incidents and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with the client, Project Management, HSE, HR, Operations, and other relevant departments.
• Liaise with relevant Saudi authorities and emergency services when required.
• Develop and conduct security awareness, emergency response, and access-control training for security personnel.
• Ensure all security staff are properly trained, licensed where applicable, uniformed, equipped, and fit for duty.
• Manage security manpower, attendance, overtime, leave schedules, and replacement arrangements.
• Ensure proper handling and control of security keys, access cards, radios, registers, and other security assets.
• Conduct regular toolbox talks and security briefings.
• Prepare monthly security performance reports, KPI reports, and management summaries.
• Ensure compliance with client security standards, project procedures, and applicable Saudi Arabian laws and regulations.
• Support business continuity, crisis management, evacuation, and emergency preparedness activities.
• Continuously review and improve site security procedures based on incidents, audits, and changing risks.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Military Studies, Risk Management or a related field.
• Professional security management certification is an advantage.
• Valid Saudi driving license is preferred.
• Relevant security licenses/authorizations required for the position shall be maintained.
Experience
• 8–12 years of security experience, preferably with at least 3–5 years in a Security Manager / Security Superintendent / Supervisory roles.
• Experience in large construction projects, industrial facilities, hospitality, infrastructure, remote camps or major development projects is preferred.
• Previous experience working in Saudi Arabia or the GCC is highly desirable.
• Experience managing a large security workforce and multi-shift operations.
• Experience with CCTV, access control, incident investigation, emergency response, and security risk assessments.
