We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Accountant to join our Finance team.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in financial reporting, budgeting, project accounting, treasury management, compliance, and business partnering.

Key Responsibilities

Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities and ensure timely finalization of accounts.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and support annual business planning processes.
Perform project accounting activities including project budgeting, cost allocation, Work-in-Progress (WIP), and revenue recognition.
Review commercial contracts, payment milestones, retention clauses, and variation orders.
Monitor customer credit limits, collections, and overdue receivables to optimize cash flow.
Coordinate banking activities, including:
Letters of Credit (LC)
Bank Guarantees (BG)
Performance Bonds
Advance Payment Guarantees
Review VAT returns, statutory filings, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
Support management decision-making through financial analysis, profitability assessments, and financial modeling.
Collaborate with Commercial, Procurement, Operations, and Senior Management teams to drive business performance.

Qualifications & Experience

Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 5-10 years of progressive experience in financial accounting and reporting.
At least 2 years of supervisory, team lead, or assistant manager-level experience.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP Business One or equivalent.
Preferred
ACCA, CA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification.
Experience in Engineering, Construction, Contracting, EPC, or Project-Based businesses.
Knowledge of VAT regulations and statutory compliance requirements.
Experience in project accounting, revenue recognition, and treasury management.
