Description

The Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing and controlling all inventory operations across retail stores and warehouses.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in the retail sector, with proven expertise in managing large SKU counts, implementing standard inventory practices, and maintaining high levels of accuracy and integrity in stock records.
This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent planning abilities, and a track record of compliance with inventory regulations and best practices.

Key Responsibilities :
• Lead and manage all inventory operations across stores, warehouses, and distribution points.
• Develop and implement standard inventory procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Conduct regular and periodic physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and reconciliation activities.
• Maintain inventory integrity by ensuring proper documentation, stock movement controls, and compliance with company policies.
• Analyze inventory variances, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee SKU classification, stock categorization, and storage optimization for high-volume retail operations.
• Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and retail teams to ensure smooth stock flow and availability.
• Monitor slow-moving, fast-moving, and obsolete inventory and recommend actions to improve stock efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, audit requirements, and regulatory guidelines related to inventory management.
• Prepare detailed inventory reports for management, highlighting risks, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities.
• Utilize inventory management systems and ERP tools to maintain accurate stock records.
• Train and supervise inventory staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and operational discipline.

Required Qualifications & Experience :
• Minimum 3 years of experience in inventory management within the retail sector.
• Proven experience handling large SKU volumes and complex stock structures.
• Strong understanding of inventory control standards, audit practices, and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain inventory integrity with a strong track record of accuracy.
• Experience in conducting full physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems, ERP platforms, and MS Office (especially Excel).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent planning, organization, and documentation abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple inventory locations.
