Job Summary:

We are a maintenance and contracting company seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to manage and oversee our financial transactions. The Accountant will be responsible for tracking company expenses, preparing invoices, monitoring outstanding payments, handling VAT submissions, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate must ensure compliance with accounting standards, support management with financial insights, and contribute to efficient financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Record and track all company expenses including materials, labour, subcontracts, and overheads.
2. Prepare and issue invoices to clients, ensuring accuracy in amounts, terms, and invoice numbering.
3.Maintain an organized filing system for invoices and payment records (both physical and digital).
4.Monitor and prepare outstanding payment dues, follow up with clients, and update management on receivables.
5.Manage accounts payable and coordinate timely payments to suppliers and subcontractors.
6.Perform VAT calculations, quarterly filing, and submission in compliance with Bahrain tax regulations.
7.Maintain accurate general ledger entries and reconcile accounts on a regular basis.
8.Follow up and reminder for pending payments
9.Liaise with auditors and banks as needed.
10.Contribute to improving financial processes, cost monitoring, and reporting efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills:

1.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance,
2.Minimum local experience of five years in accounting, preferably in contracting or maintenance companies.
3.Strong knowledge of VAT laws and compliance in Bahrain.
4.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems) and MS Excel.
5.Strong communication skills for coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.
6.Ability to work independently.

Preferences:
1.Candidates who are locally available and transferable.
2.Prior local work experience in Bahrain will be an added advantage.
3.Indian candidates are preferred.
