Description
A leading Company in Kingdom of Bahrain is seeking an experienced Accountant to oversee our accounting department and manage financial operations for immediate joining. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial management, and leadership.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, financial reporting and payroll.
• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including financial statement preparation, reconciliation, and analysis.
• Review and approve journal entries, adjustments, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support decision-making and strategic planning.
• Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies to facilitate audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements.
• Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and financial performance metrics to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to senior management to support business decisions and initiatives.
• Mentor, coach, and develop accounting staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
• Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement in financial management processes.
Requirements and Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ACCA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Proven experience as Accountant or similar role, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and financial management.
• Previous experience in Trading company
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to communicate complex financial concepts effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Integrity and professionalism in handling confidential financial information.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and regulations.
Salary Package:
BHD 300/- all inclusive + Transport + Airfare every 2 years + Medical Insurance.
