Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Assistant Pastry Chef with previous hotel experience to support the Pastry Chef in preparing high-quality desserts and baked goods, including traditional Eastern sweets. The ideal candidate should have a passion for pastry arts and a strong understanding of hotel service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and presentation of pastries, desserts, cakes, and bakery items.
Prepare and assist in producing Eastern sweets (with high quality and consistency.
Follow recipes and ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
Support the Pastry Chef in daily kitchen operations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section.
Ensure proper storage of ingredients and monitor stock levels.
Comply with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
Assist in decorating desserts and plating as per hotel standards.
Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to meet operational needs.

Requirements:

Previous experience in pastry/bakery within hotels is required.
Experience in preparing Eastern sweets is a must.
Basic knowledge of pastry techniques and baking methods.
Attention to detail and creativity in presentation.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Team player with good communication skills.
Basic English skills are preferred.
Culinary or pastry certification is a plus.
