Description
A leading contracting and industrial services company in Saudi Arabia is looking for an experienced and technically competent Auto Electrician with hands-on experience in JLG Manlifts, Boom Lifts, Scissor Lifts, Aerial Work Platforms (AWPs), and related heavy equipment.
Position: Auto Electrician – JLG Manlifts / AWPs
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and electronic control systems of JLG manlifts and aerial work platforms.
Troubleshoot control boxes, wiring harnesses, electrical circuits, and safety systems using digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and JLG Analyzer/diagnostic tools.
Maintain and troubleshoot both ground control stations and platform control boxes.
Inspect, test, calibrate, and replace safety-related components including:
Tilt sensors
Overload limit sensors
Proximity switches
Emergency stop (E-stop) circuits
Auxiliary/manual descent systems
Diagnose and repair alternators, starter motors, batteries, voltage regulators, relays, control modules, and other electrical components.
Handle 24V/48V DC electrical systems used in electric-powered equipment.
Read and interpret JLG electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical/service manuals.
Perform wiring repairs, modifications, and electrical system troubleshooting.
Conduct preventive electrical maintenance and equipment inspections.
Identify wiring insulation damage, corrosion, loose connections, and other electrical issues, particularly in harsh operating environments.
Provide timely technical support for manlifts deployed at maintenance projects in the Southern and Eastern Regions.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of relevant hands-on experience as an Auto Electrician/Electrical Technician.
Strong experience specifically with JLG Manlifts, Boom Lifts, Scissor Lifts, AWPs, or similar lifting equipment.
Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic control systems and fault diagnosis.
Experience with JLG Analyzer or equivalent OEM diagnostic equipment is highly preferred.
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Experience troubleshooting safety interlocks, sensors, control modules, and DC electrical systems.
Ability to work independently and respond to equipment breakdowns at project sites.
Candidates with experience in heavy equipment, access equipment, or industrial machinery will be preferred.
Must be technically competent, reliable, and capable of providing practical on-site solutions.
Work Locations:
The successful candidate will support projects and maintenance operations across the Southern Regions of Saudi Arabia and may be required to travel between project locations as needed.
Priority will be given to candidates with proven hands-on experience in JLG/AWP electrical troubleshooting and maintenance.
