Job Summary

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, beverages, and café products while providing excellent customer service. The Barista ensures every guest receives a welcoming experience and products prepared according to BART Café standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas, and other beverages according to company recipes.
* Serve food and beverages with accuracy and excellent presentation.
* Greet customers professionally and provide outstanding customer service.
* Maintain cleanliness of the coffee station, equipment, and dining area.
* Operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and POS systems correctly.
* Monitor stock levels and report shortages.
* Ensure all products meet quality and presentation standards.
* Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
* Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate when necessary.
* Assist with opening and closing duties, cleaning, and inventory counts.
* Support teammates during busy periods to ensure efficient service.

Requirements

* Previous experience as a Barista or in customer service is preferred.
* Knowledge of coffee preparation and beverage-making techniques is an advantage.
* Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
* Basic English communication skills (Arabic is an advantage).
