Description
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Executive to join the Mercantile Division of our group company. The ideal candidate will leverage their 2 to 4 years of experience to identify opportunities, build relationships, and drive business growth in the mercantile sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research & Analysis:
Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and target markets.
Analyze competitors and recommend strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
Identify and approach potential clients to expand the company’s customer base.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and stakeholders.
Sales & Revenue Growth:
Develop strategies to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
Generate leads, prepare proposals, and conduct presentations to prospective clients.
Product Portfolio Management:
Promote and sell products and services in the mercantile trading portfolio.
Work closely with the procurement and inventory teams to ensure product availability.
Networking & Partnerships:
Represent the company at industry events, trade fairs, and networking opportunities.
Build partnerships with suppliers and vendors to strengthen the supply chain.
Reporting & Strategy:
Prepare regular sales and business development reports for management review.
Collaborate with senior management to develop growth strategies and plans.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.
Experience: 2 to 4 years in business development, sales, or a similar role, preferably in the mercantile trading industry.
Skills:
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in using CRM software, MS Office Suite, and digital tools for business development.
Ability to analyze market trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
Attributes:
Self-motivated, target-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
