Responsibilities:
- Scan items, accept cash, credit, debit, or digital payments, and calculate correct change.
- Greet shoppers, answer product questions, and manage returns or exchanges according to store policy.
- Count and balance the cash drawer at the start and end of shifts.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and stocked with bags and receipt paper.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic arithmetic and the ability to count money accurately.
- Familiarity with electronic cash registers, scanners, and POS software.
