We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Accountant to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This is a critical role responsible for managing the company's financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.

Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts to support decision-making.

Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, VAT, and other statutory requirements.

Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and financial data integrity.

Manage and oversee budgeting, financial planning, and cash flow management.

Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and financial institutions.

Implement and improve accounting policies, procedures, and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Supervise and mentor the accounting team, ensuring their professional development and efficiency.

Monitor and control project costs, revenue recognition, and financial performance of construction projects.

Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic planning and risk management.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum of 4-5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior role within the construction industry.

Strong knowledge of construction accounting, project costing, WIP accounting, and IFRS/GAAP standards.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or other ERP systems).

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Strong understanding of financial regulations, taxation, and compliance.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
