We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Chief Accountant to lead the accounting department of a reputable contracting company in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate must possess at least 10 years of relevant experience in the construction or contracting sector and demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365. The Chief Accountant will oversee all accounting operations, ensure the integrity of financial information, and support the company’s strategic goals through sound financial management and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and project costing.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and budgets in accordance with Saudi accounting standards and regulations.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance and proper documentation.
• Ensure effective implementation and administration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 for all accounting activities.
• Coordinate with auditors for internal and external audits, ensuring all relevant financial data is available and accurate.
• Monitor cash flow and manage relationships with banks, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Lead and develop the accounting team, providing guidance and training as needed.
• Establish, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, supporting management decisions.
• Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure project profitability and adherence to budgetary controls.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
• At least 10 years of accounting experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior or supervisory role, preferably within the contracting/construction sector.
• Proven expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 is essential.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi tax laws, Zakat, VAT, and relevant regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
