Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Chinese Cook to join with one of our prestigious clients. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of authentic Chinese cuisine and specialized cooking techniques, with a focus on catering services for various scales of events and having core catering experience with Chinese Mandays.

- Job Responsibilities
- Prepare authentic Chinese dishes according to traditional recipes and techniques
- Create and execute Chinese menus for Chinese management and Chinese workers (25 SAR) meal programs
- Master preparation of various Chinese soups including Green Bean Soup, Chicken and Vegetable Soup, and Purple Cabbage Egg Flower Soup
- Expertly prepare popular dishes such as Kung Pao Chicken, Sweet and Sour Fish, and Stir-fried Egg with Tomato
- Ensure consistent quality across breakfast items lunch offeringsand dinner selections.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization according to health standards
- Train and supervise kitchen assistants in Chinese cooking methods
- Manage inventory and order authentic Chinese ingredients as needed
- Adapt recipes to accommodate dietary restrictions while maintaining authenticity
- Collaborate with the catering team to ensure timely food service for multiple meal periods.

Required Skills and Qualifications.

- Minimum 3 to 5+ years of experience as a Chinese cook in a professional setting
- Demonstrated proficiency in preparing authentic Chinese cuisine from multiple regions
- Experience in catering services and large-volume food preparation
- Proven ability to prepare both Management-level and Worker-level Chinese menu items
- Expert knowledge of Chinese breakfast, lunch, and dinner preparations
- Proficiency in various cooking techniques including stir-frying, steaming, and braising
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple meal services
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills in English (knowledge of Mandarin/Cantonese/ Arabic is a plus)
- Must be Available in Saudi Arabia / Willingness to relocate to Saudi Arabia

Preferred Qualifications.

- Any Culinary certificate or diploma preferred but not required
- Previous experience working in the Middle East- Specially for Chinese Workers and Camps
- Knowledge of local Saudi Arabian food regulations
- Experience in menu planning and food cost control
- Ability to create specialized Chinese dishes including:
- Variety of congee preparations.
- Multiple cooking styles for eggs.
- Various meat preparations.
- Traditional soups and staples.
