Job Summary:

The Delivery Driver is responsible for transporting and delivering packages and goods to customers in a timely and safe manner. This role requires strong organizational skills and a commitment to customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
Load and unload packages, ensuring items are handled carefully.
Follow delivery routes and schedules, optimizing for efficiency.
Maintain accurate delivery records, including receipts and logs.
Communicate with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues.
Inspect the vehicle before and after each trip for safety and maintenance.
Ensure compliance with traffic laws and company policies.
Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any customer inquiries or concerns.
Assist in training new drivers when needed.

Qualifications:

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role preferred.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to navigate using GPS and maps.
Physical ability to lift and carry packages as needed.
Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns is a plus.
