Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Food Quality Controller to ensure food safety, hygiene, and product quality standards are maintained in our central kitchen operations. The candidate will monitor daily production processes, inspect raw materials and finished products, and ensure compliance with food safety regulations, company standards, and HACCP requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor food preparation, cooking, packing, and storage processes to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
Conduct routine inspections of raw materials, ingredients, and finished products for quality, freshness, and safety.
Verify temperature control, hygiene practices, sanitation, and cleaning schedules in all production areas.
Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, SFDA, and municipality regulations.
Check product labeling, expiry dates, batch coding, and packaging quality.
Perform sensory evaluations including taste, texture, appearance, and smell.
Record daily quality checks, inspection reports, and corrective actions.
Investigate customer complaints and quality issues, preparing CAPA reports when needed.
Coordinate with production, purchasing, and warehouse teams to maintain quality standards.
Train staff on hygiene, food safety, and quality procedures.
Monitor pest control, cleaning chemicals, and sanitation verification.
Assist in internal audits and external inspections.
Requirements:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or related field.
1–3 years of experience in Saudi food production, central kitchen, or quality control.
Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, food safety systems, and quality assurance procedures.
Familiarity with SFDA and municipality regulations is preferred.
Good observation, reporting, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
