Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and retrieval of materials and finished products within our facility. Your diligence will be key to maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

Safe Operation: Operate sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, or other specified powered industrial trucks (PIT) safely and efficiently.

Loading/Unloading: Load and unload delivery trucks, containers, and trailers, ensuring all materials are secured before transport.

Material Handling: Move, stack, and organize materials and products in designated storage bays following inventory control instructions (e.g., FIFO, LIFO).

Equipment Inspection: Conduct mandatory daily safety inspections (pre-shift/post-shift checks) on the forklift and promptly report any defects, malfunctions, or maintenance needs.

Inventory Control: Utilize RF scanning equipment or other inventory systems to accurately track and document the movement, storage, and location of all goods.

Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all company safety protocols, local regulations (e.g., OSHA, TUV), and warehouse Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

General Duties: Assist with manual material handling, housekeeping, cleaning, and organizing the warehouse and staging areas as required.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification / License (TUV, Heavy Vehicle License).

Experience: Minimum of 3 year(s) of proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.

Safety Record: A strong commitment to workplace safety and a clean safety record.

Physical Ability: Ability to lift up and stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.

Core Skills: Excellent spatial awareness, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail.

Communication: Ability to read and interpret work orders, safety guidelines, and shipping documents. [Specify required language proficiency, e.g., Good command of English and/or Arabic.]

Preferred Qualifications (A Plus)

Experience with a specific type of lift (e.g., Reach Truck, VNA, Counterbalance).

Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or RF scanners.

Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
