Job Summary
We are seeking a versatile and highly organized General Accountant to oversee our daily financial operations.
In this role, you will manage all core accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, bank reconciliations, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and month-end closing activities. You will ensure compliance with financial regulations and provide accurate data to support business decisions.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment and possesses a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Financial Operations: Manage full-cycle daily accounting activities, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
• General Ledger & Reconciliations: Maintain the general ledger, prepare journal entries, and perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• AP & AR Oversight: Process vendor invoices, manage payment schedules, issue client invoices, and monitor aging receivables to optimize cash flow.
• Month-End Close: Execute month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing financial statements and variance reports.
• Compliance & Audits: Assist with tax filings, ensure compliance with relevant financial standards, and prepare documentation for internal or external audits.
• Data Management: Review financial data for discrepancies, resolve accounting errors, and maintain organized digital and physical financial records.
Qualifications & Skills
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
• Experience: 3+ years of broad, hands-on general accounting experience.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in standard accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, or Xero) and intermediate-to-advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Core Competencies: Strong grasp of GAAP/IFRS principles, excellent mathematical accuracy, and strict attention to detail.
• Communication: Ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance team members.
