Description
Oversees all aspects of catering operations, including planning, logistics, staffing, and service execution, often in industrial settings like oil and gas, construction, or remote sites. Ensure that food and beverage services meet quality and safety standards while adhering to budgetary constraints and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Creates diverse and appealing menus that cater to the specific needs and preferences of the workforce.
• Manages the supply chain for food and supplies, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
• Hires, trains, and supervises catering staff, including chefs, cooks, servers, and support personnel.
• Oversees daily operations, including food preparation, service, and sanitation, to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Develops and manages catering budgets, controlling costs, and maximizing profitability.
• Ensures that food and service quality meet established standards and adhere to safety and hygiene regulations.
• Interacts with clients or site managers to understand their needs and address any concerns.
• Ensures compliance with all relevant food safety regulations, health and safety guidelines, and company policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Proven experience in catering management, particularly in industrial or remote site settings.
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, organizational skills and time management.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to manage budgets and control costs.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Familiarity with relevant software and technology used in catering operations.
