Description

As a Laptop Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services for laptops and related hardware and software components. Your primary goal is to ensure the optimal performance and functionality of laptops within an organization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Hardware Diagnosis and Repair :

Identify and troubleshoot hardware issues in laptops, including but not limited to processors, memory, hard drives, displays, and peripherals.
Replace or repair faulty components to restore laptop functionality.

- Software Troubleshooting:

Diagnose and resolve software-related problems, including operating system issues, driver conflicts, and application errors.
Install, upgrade, and configure operating systems and software applications.

- Virus and Malware Removal:

Implement security measures to protect laptops from viruses, malware, and other security threats.
Perform virus and malware scans, and take appropriate actions to remove or quarantine infected files.

- Data Backup and Recovery:

Conduct regular backups of important data on laptops.
Assist users in recovering lost or corrupted data.

- Network Connectivity:

Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues on laptops.
Configure and set up wireless networks.
Customer Support:

Provide technical assistance to end-users through various channels, including in-person, phone, or remote support.
Educate users on proper laptop usage and preventive maintenance.

- Documentation:

Maintain detailed records of laptop repairs, including hardware and software modifications.
Create documentation and manuals for common laptop issues and solutions.
Inventory Management:

Keep track of laptop inventory, including spare parts and equipment.
Order and manage replacement parts as needed.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or technical degrees are a plus.
- Proven 3 years experience as a Laptop Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of laptop hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
