BE in Mechanical with more than 10 years of experience of working.
Local / Foreign Training in the respective discipline.

Should be capable of handling the maintenance of:

1. Caterpillar Heavy Equipment.
2. Utilities specially cooling system of the entire steel plant
3. Stationery and moving scrap handling cranes and equipment.
4. Experience of Hydraulics
5. Earth moving machinery.
6. Scrap processing equipment like shredders and shears

Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for Earth-moving Equipment for looking after all the parts and components of equipment including the tyres, mechanical components, hydraulic systems, power shifts transmissions, electrical and fuel systems.
2. Equipment and its spare parts selection, operation, and maintenance in Auto Workshop.
3. Responsible for attending the break down in the plant and to minimize the production loss.
4. Responsible for safety requirement in the plant.
5. Involvement in all new projects and recruitment of people.
6. Responsible for training of people.
7. Co-ordination with other department for ensuring co-ordinal working.
8. Modification as per operational requirement for prevention of unnecessary shutdowns due laps of equipment.
9. Develop alternate sources for procurement of plant machinery and equipment leading to cost effective and spontaneous procurement.
10. Faultfinding during the malfunctioning of equipment.
11. Performing planned and preventive maintenance and risk assessment to control the risk.
12. Implement effective planning and prioritization of workload wherever necessary.
13. Ensure that resources are used to optimum effect.
14. Understand and operate in line with relevant legislation, Company policy and Company procedures.
15. Complete and maintain accurate, timely documentation and records as required by the business.
16. Maintain the required standards of housekeeping in plant.
17. Undertake any other tasks or duties as required by Management.
18. Conforming to health, safety and environment procedures and policies.
19. Gets a list of the requirements prepared as per maintenance manuals received from machinery supplier.
20. Compiles and consolidates the list, removing overlaps if any.
21. Gets estimated costs for budgeting.
22. Prepare the maintenance schedule as per day / week / month / year wise.
23. Starts execution of project on receipt of approval.
24. Monitors the timely completion of activities / projects.
25. Acknowledges and celebrates team accomplishments.
Design Modifications and Budgeting
26. Specifies budgets, timelines, and specifications.
27. Recommends the designer to work on modifications approved by OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer).
28. Approves plans submitted by the section managers.
29. Ensures smooth execution of the projects by providing guidance to team.
Spare Parts Management System
30. Prepares procedures for timely availability of spare parts.
31. Ensures the timely and proper execution of spare parts procurement procedure.
32. Assists Managers in persuading Supply Chain for procurement of spare parts.
33. Provides support to Supply Chain in vendor selection for purchase of spare parts.
34. Gets special approvals for procurement of emergency spare parts from higher management in extraordinary circumstances.
35. Prepares essential spare parts inventory for store.
