Paint Mixing Supervisor

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Technical Certification in Paint Technology, Industrial Coatings, or related field.
• Secondary education with relevant technical training may be accepted based on experience.
• Minimum of 5–10 years of experience in paint mixing and finishing within a wooden products manufacturing environment.
• Prior experience in GCC countries is an advantage.
• Experience in both manual and machine (Disperser) paint mixing operations.
• Skilled in preparing and blending NC, PU, Water-Based, and UV paints.
• Hands-on experience with paint mixing machines, spray guns, and related finishing equipment.
• Knowledge of surface preparation, finishing processes, and quality standards for joinery products.
• Basic computer literacy (MS Excel, Word).
• Fluency in English; knowledge of other local languages is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and oversee all paint mixing operations to meet production schedules and project requirements.
• Supervise, train, and guide the mixing team to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and safety in daily activities.
• Allocate manpower and resources effectively to meet workload priorities and deadlines.
• Conduct regular team briefings and coordinate closely with the Finishing and Paint room Supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.
• Identify staff development needs and coordinate technical training programs to enhance employee competency.
• Support the Head of Production in implementing continuous improvement initiatives and productivity enhancement measures.
• Perform and supervise manual and machine paint mixing using Disperser and other equipment.
• Ensure proper preparation and blending of NC, PU, Water-Based, UV paints, and stains to achieve required colors and finishes.
• Match colors accurately with master and control samples according to client or project specifications.
• Monitor the preparation of surface materials prior to painting to ensure proper adhesion and finish quality.
• Maintain and calibrate mixing machines, spray guns, and other related tools.
• Ensure strict adherence to company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements for handling paints and chemicals.
• Maintain Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) records for all paint products and chemicals used.
