Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Pastry Chef with a strong background in French pastry to join our team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate should be passionate, creative, detail-oriented, and capable of producing high-quality artisan desserts. You will be responsible for leading pastry production, ensuring consistency, and contributing to menu innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and produce a wide range of French pastries including but not limited to tarts, macarons, choux …etc
• Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation across all pastry items.
• Develop new recipes and seasonal menu items in alignment with the brand’s concept.
• Manage daily pastry kitchen operations, including mise en place, production schedules, and inventory.
• Monitor food safety and hygiene standards in accordance with local regulations.
• Train and supervise junior kitchen staff and ensure skill development.
• Collaborate with the head chef and management team for planning and product development.
• Control portion sizes and minimize waste to maintain cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure timely production for service and special orders.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Sous Chef specializing in French pastry.
• Culinary degree or formal pastry training from a recognized institution (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques, classic French methods, and modern pastry trends.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of French is a plus.
