Job purpose

Project managers work in many areas of development and are responsible for overseeing a project from start to finish. Their duties include hiring laborers and negotiating contracts, and it is also their responsibility to obtain all permits for a building site.

Duties and responsibilities

1. Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion
2. Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
3. Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
4. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
5. Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory
6. Meet contractual conditions of performance
7. Review the work progress on daily basis
8. Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
9. Plan to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
10. Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses
11. Analyze, manage and mitigate risks
12. Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques

Basic Qualifications

Civil Engineering with Minimum 15 years’ experience, with exposure in managing multiple projects, fast track Civil Engineering projects related for reputed clients in GCC. Excellent knowledge of Contract Conditions, Health and Safety Regulations, Local Authorities Requirements for the Projects. Conversant with International Standards and specifications for construction, ISO Standards.
