Description
The QA/QC Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all calibration and inspection services meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations. This includes managing the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001).
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and Implement QA/QC Systems: Create and maintain quality assurance procedures, inspection protocols, and calibration schedules in compliance with industry standards.
Perform Audits: Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with company procedures, industry regulations, and quality standards. Manage external audits when required. Ready to face SAC and IAS accreditation audits.
Calibration & Inspection Oversight: Oversee the calibration and inspection of client equipment, ensuring accurate results and adherence to specifications. Manage calibration records and certifications.
Team Training and Leadership: Provide ongoing training to staff on quality control procedures, industry standards, and the latest calibration techniques.
Non-Conformance Management: Handle non-conformance issues, investigating root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Customer Interaction: Work directly with clients to address quality concerns, provide guidance on calibration requirements, and ensure their expectations are met.
Continuous Improvement: Recommend process improvements, tools, or techniques to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Use statistical tools to analyze calibration and inspection data, generate reports, and make recommendations for quality improvements.
Documentation: Ensure proper record-keeping, including calibration certificates, inspection reports, and audit trails.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), ISO 17025 Lead Auditor), or equivalent experience is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in QA/QC within a calibration or inspection environment.
Certifications: ISO/IEC 17025 or ISO 9001 internal auditor certification preferred.
Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with calibration instruments, measuring devices, and quality management software.
Software Proficiency: Familiarity with quality management software, MS Excel, and statistical analysis tools.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in conducting inspections, analyzing data, and preparing reports.
