Construction and industrial projects in Dubai offer an opportunity for a safety-conscious Rigger to assist with lifting operations, prepare loads for movement, and work closely with crane operators and site teams to ensure materials are handled safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and inspect lifting accessories before starting lifting activities.
Select appropriate slings, shackles, hooks, chains, and other rigging equipment for assigned loads.
Secure and balance loads correctly before lifting or moving them.
Attach and detach loads under established lifting procedures.
Provide clear hand signals or communication to crane and lifting equipment operators.
Guide suspended loads safely through designated lifting paths.
Check load weight, dimensions, lifting points, and stability before operations.
Maintain safe distances from suspended loads and restricted lifting areas.
Assist with positioning machinery, construction materials, steel structures, pipes, and other heavy items.
Inspect rigging equipment for wear, damage, or defects and report concerns immediately.
Keep lifting areas organized and free from unnecessary obstructions.
Coordinate with crane operators, foremen, supervisors, and other site personnel.
Follow approved lifting plans, method statements, and site safety requirements.
Participate in toolbox talks and comply with PPE and workplace safety rules.
Report unsafe conditions, equipment problems, or lifting incidents to the supervisor.
Maintain proper care and storage of rigging tools and accessories.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Rigger in construction, industrial, marine, oil & gas, or lifting operations is an advantage.
Freshers with relevant rigging training or certification may also apply.
Knowledge of basic rigging techniques and lifting procedures.
Ability to identify common rigging equipment and understand its proper use.
Familiarity with slings, shackles, hooks, chains, and lifting accessories.
Good understanding of workplace safety and PPE requirements.
Physically fit and capable of working in outdoor and demanding site conditions.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to follow instructions accurately and work around heavy equipment.
Alert, responsible, and safety-conscious approach to work.
Willingness to work shifts, overtime, weekends, or extended hours when required.
UAE/GCC construction or industrial experience is an advantage.
Valid Rigger certification or competency qualification is an advantage where applicable.
