Access control: Monitor and control who enters and exits a building or area, which may involve checking identification, verifying credentials, and preventing unauthorized access.
Emergency response: Act as a first responder to incidents like fires, medical emergencies, or security threats, and work with emergency services such as the police and fire-fighters.
Incident response and reporting: Respond to alarms and disturbances, de-escalate situations, and document all incidents, observations, and daily activities in detail.
Protection of property: Safeguard property, assets, and valuables from theft, damage, or other criminal activity.
