Description

Job Purpose:
Supervise general accounting operations, and ensure all financial transactions are in accordance with the company’s policies, relevant international and local accounting standards, and Bahrain Law. Maintain the general ledger, reconcile account balances and bank statements, prepare month-end closing procedures and financial reports, assist with annual audits and perform any other accounting duties assigned.

Will supervise all accounting activities of both financial and management accounting, responsible for preparing financial and performance reports, assisting departments with annual budgets and reviews, internal control, and tax file submissions and preparations.

Duties:
• Preparation of Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports as per applicable IFRS.
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual budget execution reports after completion of reconstruction of books of accounts.
• Validation of opening Trial Balance in SAP as compared to the previous ERP.
• Ensure completion of the reconstruction of books of accounts for NBR & audit purposes.
• Preparation of costing reports at the activity level.
• Accounts receivables monitoring & management
• Accounts payable reconciliation, scrutiny & working capital management
• Update of Fixed Assets Register & Depreciation accounting and reconciliation.
• Preparation of Corporate investment reports on a monthly basis.
• Preparation of required reports for ongoing VAT assessment.
• Preparation of monthly reports for filing of VAT & its review.
• Monitoring of pharmacy budgets, claims submission & outstanding.
• Monitoring of FOC & free samples from VAT & accounting point of view.
• Monitoring of expiry/damage reports for accuracy & accounting treatment.
• Maintain accurate and date up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
• Ensure completion of BRS on a monthly basis.

Skills/Qualifications:
• Should have a degree in accountancy/finance
• Minimum of 10 years of work experience in the same field
• Strong working knowledge and experience of accounting software packages /ERPs, MS Office, and especially Excel
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with good knowledge of financial reports, management accounts, budgeting, and forecasting
• Problem-solving skills
• Professionalism & time management
