Description

Your responsibilities will include:

Overseeing and monitoring the construction works on site of a project for a high-profile client.

Assisting the project director and other members of the team in drafting the 100-day plan, project execution plan, procurement strategy, strategic master programme, risk register, project status report and stakeholder management plan.

Providing strategic master programme input.

Liaising with consultants.

Managing information flow to/from consultants.

Providing advice in planning the project, including design, procurement, project controls and delivery.

Reviewing and managing contractor’s procurement schedule.

Reviewing, monitoring and reporting on-site progress.

Liaising with a planner for overall construction and strategic planning.

Reviewing contractor’s look ahead plans.

Reviewing in conjunction with the client and other consultants/supervision consultants the main contractor’s submissions, including.

Planning logistics, quality management, health and safety, and contractors’ site mobilization programme.

Monitoring and reporting on contractors’ progress.

Monitoring and reporting on health and safety implementation.

Identifying and informing the project director of any issue that may affect the programme, quality, health and safety and any other issue that is deemed relevant.

Advising the project director on the contractor and sub-contractor’s performance.

Attending inspections with the supervision consultant and contractor to confirm inspection processes are adequately conducted.

Managing matters in relation to health, safety and wellbeing on the project at all stages.

Preparing necessary project plans and keeping them updated and relevant over the course of the project.

Ensuring quality systems are in place and suitably managed and monitored.

Leading relevant meetings and site walks and ensuring these are suitably recorded.

Being actively involved in risk management.

Managing relationships with the client and other project stakeholders.

About you

You have a degree or national diploma in civil engineering, architecture or construction management. You have an experience in a site-based senior project/construction manager role on a project with a value in excess of AED 750 million. You have work experience in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
