Description
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team specializing in modern Indian cuisine. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in traditional Indian cooking, combined with creativity and finesse in contemporary techniques and global presentation styles. The Sous Chef will support the Head Chef in daily operations, menu innovation, and ensuring consistent high-quality food for both dine-in and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in managing day-to-day kitchen operations.
Execute and supervise preparation of modern Indian dishes with consistency and attention to detail.
Contribute ideas and support in **menu development**, seasonal specials, and innovative plating.
Train, guide, and motivate junior kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to SOPs.
Maintain strict standards of **food safety, hygiene, and quality control**.
Manage mise en place and kitchen inventory to ensure smooth service.
Ensure timely preparation and service during peak hours.
Collaborate with the Head Chef and management team to maintain cost control and efficiency.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in Indian or fusion cuisine.
Strong knowledge of Indian spices, regional flavors, and modern cooking techniques.
Creative approach to food with an eye for presentation and innovation.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Culinary degree or equivalent professional training preferred.
