Description

Job Summary

The Storekeeper is responsible for managing site stores and inventory, including material receiving, storage, issuance, and stock control. The role ensures accurate record-keeping, proper material handling, and smooth coordination with procurement and site teams to support project operations.

Key Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and deliveries as per purchase orders
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of materials in the site store
Issue materials to site teams based on approved requisitions
Maintain accurate stock records and inventory control systems
Monitor stock levels and report shortages or excess materials
Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliation
Ensure proper handling and preservation of materials to avoid damage or loss
Coordinate with procurement and site engineers for material requirements
Maintain updated store documentation, logs, and reports
Ensure compliance with company procedures and safety standards in store operations
Assist in audit and inspection activities related to inventory

Requirements

Diploma or equivalent qualification (Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred)
Minimum 5 years of experience as Storekeeper in construction or infrastructure projects
Strong knowledge of inventory management and material handling procedures
Experience in maintaining stock records and documentation
Basic computer skills (MS Excel, ERP systems preferred)
