Description
To perform welding operations on SS components and structures in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards. The Welder ensures that welding work is executed efficiently, meets quality standards, and complies with KSA construction codes and company safety policies. The role involves coordinating with site engineers, supervisors, and other trades to complete welding tasks on time, maintain structural integrity, and uphold high standards of workmanship and safety.
Perform welding operations according to approved drawings, specifications, and welding procedures.
Prepare, cut, and fit SS components accurately for welding.
Inspect welded joints for quality, alignment, and integrity, performing corrective actions when necessary.
Select and set up appropriate welding equipment, tools, and consumables for the task.
Maintain a safe working environment by following site safety protocols and using PPE.
Coordinate with supervisors, site engineers, and other trades to complete welding tasks on schedule.
Maintain proper documentation of welding works, including inspection records and daily progress.
Monitor welding consumables and materials, minimizing wastage and reporting shortages.
Provide guidance and support to junior welders or helpers.
Ensure compliance with KSA building codes, company quality standards, and environmental regulations.
QUALIFICATION:
Higher Secondary School Certificate (minimum requirement).
Technical Diploma in TIG Welding.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 3 years of experience as a TIG Welder in construction or industrial projects.
COMPETENCIES:
Proficient in TIG welding techniques and fabrication methods.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of KSA building codes, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Attention to detail and precision in all welding tasks.
Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions accurately.
Physical stamina and capability to work in challenging site conditions.
Effective communication and coordination with site engineers, supervisors, and team members.
Proactive, accountable, and committed to safety, quality, and timely completion of work.
Ability to mentor junior welders and maintain discipline on-site.
