Job Description:

The Assembly Supervisor is responsible for managing the complete assembly process of industrial pumps, including horizontal and vertical pump systems. This role ensures that all pump components are assembled accurately, tested thoroughly, and delivered in line with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise the end-to-end assembly of centrifugal and other industrial pumps, ensuring correct alignment, clearances, and fit-up of components.
• Plan and control assembly sequences by interpreting detailed engineering drawings, cross-sections, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Oversee hydrostatic testing, pressure testing, and performance testing to ensure pumps meet operational and quality standards.
• Ensure proper installation of mechanical seals, coupling alignment, and lubrication systems.
• Lead, guide, and coordinate a team of technicians and fitters to achieve production targets with high efficiency.
• Implement Lean manufacturing and 5S practices to improve productivity, reduce waste, and optimize assembly workflow.
• Coordinate with quality control and engineering teams to resolve technical issues and ensure zero-defect delivery.

Experience:

• 6–8 years of hands-on experience in pump assembly or pump manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of pump components, assembly techniques, and testing procedures.
• Experience in overhead crane operation and safe lifting practices.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
