Description
Glasstech Industries BSC, a reputable manufacturing company in Bahrain, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Account Assistant to support daily financial operations and ensure accurate accounting records. The ideal candidate will assist senior accountants, coordinate with internal departments, and help maintain smooth financial processes across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Record daily cash and bank transactions and process supplier payments as per credit terms.
Maintain the General Ledger, prepare bank reconciliations, and support month-end closing activities including provisions and adjustments.
Prepare schedules for debtors, creditors, accruals, and prepayments; generate sales invoices and ageing reports; follow up on pending payments.
Manage L/C documentation, coordinate with banks for transfers, and monitor the status of bank-related activities.
Verify purchase invoices, record expenses, prepare payment vouchers, and ensure compliance with internal approval procedures.
Assist in internal controls, audit documentation, and improvements to accounting systems.
Support budgeting, cost comparison, and administrative finance tasks.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
1–3 years of accounting experience (manufacturing experience preferred).
Good knowledge of MS Excel, Tally/ERP systems, and basic accounting principles.
Strong accuracy, analytical skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
Knowledge of banking processes and L/C documentation is an advantage.
