Job Summary:
The AHU Lead will be responsible for leading the design, application software development, and certification activities related to Air Handling Units (AHUs). This role requires strong technical expertise in AHU design and manufacturing, hands-on experience with selection and configuration software, and sound knowledge of compliance and certification processes such as Eurovent.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and maintenance of AHU selection and application software such as Wintads, Kinetix Air, and Lead Application tools.
• Provide design and manufacturing support for AHU projects, ensuring alignment between application engineering, production, and quality teams.
• Manage the Eurovent certification process end-to-end, including documentation, testing, and audit coordination.
• Oversee component selection and specification, ensuring technical compatibility, performance optimization, and cost-effectiveness.
• Prepare and release Bills of Materials (BOMs), ensuring accuracy and integration with ERP systems.
• Develop and maintain Product Data Books (PDBs), ensuring technical documentation consistency across product lines.
• Ensure compliance with international standards, regulatory requirements, and internal design guidelines.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with software developers, sales application teams, and manufacturing for continuous improvement and value engineering initiatives.
• Support NPD/NPI projects and provide training to application engineers and design teams as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 7–10 years of experience in AHU design, application engineering, or product development.
• Proven experience in AHU selection software development or customization (e.g., Wintads, Kinetix Air, or similar).
• Strong understanding of Eurovent certification process and documentation requirements.
• Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC components, including coils, fans, filters, dampers, motors, and control systems.
• Familiarity with BOM structuring, ERP integration, and product configuration management.
• Good understanding of HVAC compliance standards and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience in Unilab or similar AHU design platforms.
• Exposure to automation and digital tools for configuration and costing.
• Strong documentation and process management skills.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead cross-functional initiatives.
