Assistant Service Manager - Automotive Industry
Job Description:
1. Service Operations & Target Achievement: Manage and oversee service and reception operations in line with defined processes, principal standards, and business objectives to support financial and operational targets.
2. Service Process & Customer Experience: Ensure a seamless, professional, and consistent customer experience across all service touchpoints, from vehicle reception to job completion and delivery.
3. Work-in-Progress Monitoring: Monitor and control work-in-progress service requests to ensure timely completion, optimal utilization of resources, and adherence to promised delivery timelines.
4. Service Campaigns & Initiatives: Plan and execute service campaigns and operational initiatives in coordination with internal stakeholders to drive customer retention, workshop throughput, and service revenue.
5. Customer Handling & Resolution: Handle customer complaints, escalations, and queries in a timely, professional, and effective manner to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and brand trust.
6. Operational Performance & Continuous Improvement: Analyze service operations, productivity, efficiency, and utilization to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective and preventive actions.
7. Stakeholder Coordination & Relationship Management: Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams, principals, and external stakeholders to support smooth service operations and goodwill.
8. Resource & Facility Readiness: Ensure availability and readiness of tools, equipment, and facilities required to support uninterrupted service operations.
9. Coordination & Communication: Communicate and coordinate with relevant internal departments and external partners to support service delivery, approvals, and operational requirements.
10. Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and submit operational, performance, and service-related reports on a regular and required basis.
11. Health and Safety: Maintain company Environment, Health, Safety and Quality policy and procedure and improve safety culture

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Management or a relevant degree
- 6 – 8 years of experience and / or a combination of experience in automotive and education
- Strong service operations and customer experience management skills
- Good commercial and operational awareness within automotive service environments
- Effective communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong problem-solving, planning, and continuous improvement capability
