Description
We are seeking a skilled Auto Electrician Mechanic to join our automotive repair team. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems in vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has strong problem-solving skills, and thrives in a fast-paced workshop environment. Key Responsibilities
Diagnose electrical faults in vehicle systems, including wiring, batteries, alternators, starters, and lighting using diagnostic tools and multimeters.
Install, repair, and replace electrical components such as sensors, fuses, relays, and electronic control units (ECUs).
Perform routine maintenance on vehicle electrical systems, including testing and charging batteries, inspecting wiring harnesses, and troubleshooting ignition and charging circuits.
Collaborate with other mechanics to integrate electrical repairs with mechanical work, ensuring comprehensive vehicle servicing.
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and service manuals to identify issues and implement solutions.
Conduct safety checks and ensure all repairs comply with industry standards and regulations.
Document all work performed, including parts used and time spent, using shop management software.
Advise customers on electrical system issues, recommended repairs, and preventive maintenance to enhance vehicle longevity.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational certification or associate degree in automotive technology, electrical systems, or a related field preferred.
3+ years of hands-on experience as an auto electrician or in automotive electrical repair.
Proficiency with diagnostic equipment, oscilloscopes, and electrical testing tools.
Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical systems across various makes and models (e.g., hybrid, electric, and traditional vehicles).
Valid driver's license and ability to work on a variety of vehicle types.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with modern vehicle technologies, such as CAN bus systems, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and electric vehicle (EV) charging systems.
ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification in electrical/electronic systems.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and customers.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a high-volume repair environment.
