Job Description
Seeking a qualified Chemical Laboratory Technician to support our Concrete, Soil, Aggregate, Steel, and Construction Chemicals testing laboratory. The candidate shall perform chemical and physical testing in accordance with ASTM, AASHTO, BS, SASO, and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct chemical testing for:
o Concrete (cement, admixtures, water, chloride, sulfate, alkalinity)
o Soil (pH, sulfate, chloride, organic content)
o Aggregates (chemical impurities, sulfate soundness)
o Steel (chemical composition verification where applicable)
o Construction chemicals (grouts, coatings, curing compounds, road marking materials)
• Perform water quality testing (pH, TDS, conductivity, chlorides, sulfates).
• Prepare chemical solutions, reagents, and standard samples.
• Ensure proper sample handling, labeling, preservation, and storage.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, calibration records, and chemical inventory.
• Record test results accurately and prepare laboratory test reports.
• Follow ISO/IEC 17025 quality procedures, safety protocols, and laboratory best practices.
• Support audits, surveillance visits, and method validations.
Qualification & Experience
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a construction material testing laboratory.
• Hands-on experience with ASTM / AASHTO chemical test methods.
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory requirements are preferred.
• Experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC projects is an advantage.

• Strong understanding of chemical testing procedures.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Attention to detail and accurate documentation skills.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety and chemical handling.
• Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, laboratory reporting).
