Role Overview:

The Cleaner/Steward is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, dining, and back-of-house areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.

This role plays a vital part in supporting kitchen and service operations by ensuring a clean, sanitary, and well-organized environment at all times.

Job Description

• Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, glassware, cutlery, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils throughout service.
• Operate and maintain dishwashing machines and cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, floors, walls, and equipment according to hygiene schedules.
• Maintain cleanliness of back-of-house areas, including storage rooms, walk-in fridges, and waste disposal points.
• Collect and dispose of kitchen waste and recyclables promptly, keeping bins and disposal areas clean and odor-free.
• Restock clean dishware, utensils, and supplies to kitchen and service stations as needed.
• Report any equipment malfunctions, breakages, or maintenance issues to the supervisor promptly.
• Follow all hygiene, food safety, and grooming standards in line with restaurant and Saudi regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Basic education; food safety or hygiene certification is an advantage.
• Prior experience as a steward, cleaner, or dishwasher in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred.
